Attorney

Attorney Cindy L. Sanchez has a B.A. from SUNY New Paltz in Sociology and J.D. from Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. During her time there she was accepted to Pace’s Domestic Violence Criminal Justice Clinic prosecuting misdemeanor domestic violence cases in New York County DA’s office under a Student Practice Order. She was admitted to practice in New York State in 2002 and in the Eastern District of New York Federal Court in 2009.

Legal Career

Cindy knew early on that she wanted to help families in the legal arena. After graduation, Cindy joined a busy Brooklyn law firm taking over the matrimonial and family law practice. There she helped her clients navigate their family, estate, and related criminal matters. She also taught Family law to paralegals at Berkeley College in Manhattan. Thereafter, she opened her own general practice with a focus on family matters in New York City. After starting a family of her own, Cindy and her husband decided to return to her Hudson Valley roots and Cindy joined Steve’s practice first as of counsel, then as an associate, and now partner. Her years of practice have sharpened both her litigation and negotiation skills, and her clients trust that she will advise them on the best course for their families in the now and moving forward once the courts are no longer in their lives.

Community Work

Cindy is a founding member of the Southern Ulster Kiwanis Club and sits on the Board of Directors. She is an active participant in her daughter’s PTA and other community endeavors.
